What a hidden gem! The kimchi here is incredible--I love it so much that I always order some to take home. They also have a fantastic cocktail list and great combination sets. The seafood pancake and Japchae were both flavorful and delicious. Highly recommend this spot!

The latest offered bosom that was on the drier end, but the galbi was well cooked and very tender. Spicy squid was also excellent and plentiful. The seafood pajeon came out piping hot and was crisp.

The wings here are amazing, perfectly crispy and spicy. The cloud beer is awesome. I also love their beef bulgogi bimimbap which is a huge portion. Their prices are a tad high for the neighborhood but you get SO much food. The lunch special in particular is a huge portion that's honestly enough for two people. The space here is super nice and clean. The staff is amazing and really friendly. We've come here with a baby a few times and they are always so welcoming and accommodating. Great addition to FH!

Ordered the makku and dae pyp, bossam (mini), and soon dubu. Service was very attentive. There were probably 3-4 people checking in between refilling banchan, refilling water, taking orders, etc. during the course of one dinner. Food and drinks were delicious! I enjoyed how mushroom packed the mushroom soondubu was. I had a bite of the pork and kimchi one as well and I appreciated the additional richness. Both were delicious. The bossam came with pickled radish slices. I think it also came with a sauce or two but I don't recall anymore. Overall very tasty. Slight splurge but do plan to return!

Cuisine: 7 Service: 8 Decor: 7 Value: 6 Overall: 7 Surprisingly good ethnic food in a neighborhood full of mediocre restaurants. I usually travel to Flushing/Murray Hill for great Korean cuisine, but after two visits, I can confidently say that I appreciate having Kuku in my neck of the woods. First of all, the service here is attentive and friendly. They really make sure you understand the menu and more than capable of giving some wonderful recommendations based on your preferences. On our last visit, we had a tender and delicious Bossam (pork belly). The Seafood Pajeon (pancake) was crispy and full of perfectly cooked ocean delicacies. Not to be outdone, the Vegetable Japchae (vermicelli) were chewy and flavorful just as it should be. Steam Egg Soufflé was quite decent too. The only letdown was the Beef Soon Dubu (tofu stew), which was somewhat bland and boring. Honestly, the meal was very solid. Only real negative compared to most Flushing/Murray Hill Korean restaurants is the lack of banchan. Only five, but they were good. Prices are more in line with the location and just a hair more than what I'm use to. However, gas is not cheap nowadays, and time is always valuable, hence maybe it's worth staying local since it's pretty good.

The place is amazing. The service is great, staff are friendly and accomodating. The ambiance is clean and modern design, especially the bathroom. Someone told me first thing you look at in the restuarant is the bathroom ir show how well they will clean the place. Food is great everything we order are scrumptious. But there are two just a little disappointed that cost them one star, it the rice. Purple rice was delicous but it sever in pot and burnt is not my thing. Also the serving size was too small for me. Oh well i should order extra. Lastly, one of the banchan is not for me the squash salad it taste good but feels off to their typical bancham. Great place must try if you are in the neighnorhood.

2nd time eating here. Kuku and its food hasn't changed much. The japchae seemed more saucy thus saltier and had more veggies instead of noodles. The panchan or banchan are still delicious and 6 varieties is an appetizing amount. The purple rice along with tofu soup (mild) are delicious. Beef bulgogi is still good quality and full of flavor. Chicken tenders are still large and seasoned well. I'll be returning for a 3rd serving!

Kuku is surprisingly one of the few Korean restaurants that I've found in Queens that has soondubu outside of the Flushing/Bayside area and I'm so thankful for its location in the Central Queens area. This has become my go-to place for whenever my tofu stew cravings hit. I always get the beef tofu stew and it is so flavorful. It's not too spicy, the tofu is soft and jiggly, and a freshly cracked egg with a runny yolk that thickens the soup. Any order of tofu soup comes with a large portion of rice with nice crispy bottoms. The crunch is sooo satisfying. Also the restaurant gives a large amount of banchan which are delicious. I love the sweetness of the kimchi here and just the variety of small plates they have to offer. Really kind and attentive staff too. Plus the interior is well-lit and cozy, perfect for a weeknight dinner with a date or family.
